Aqueducts are channels for water to flow down. Leicester’s ran over two kilometers from Knighton Brook to the bath house at Jewry Wall.
At The Raw Dykes, near the Leicester City football ground, you can visit the remains of the large earth aqueduct that supplied water to the city. When you visit you’ll see the main channel for clean water, with ditches either side to protect the aqueduct from muddy river water.
